Ram Prasad Singh College :
Ram Prasad College Chakeyaj, Mahnar is a well known Co-educational institution Situated at Mahnar subdivision which is considered a remote rural area of Vaishali District. The College was established by the Veteran freedom fighter and social activist Sri Ram Prasad Singh in 1969 .R.P.S. College Chakeyaj is the only Constituent unit of B.R.A. Bihar University in Mahnar subdivision.At present more than 5000 students are admitted and imparted teaching in different subjects of two streams i.e. arts & science by the scholar-teachers. Almost in each session, more than 60% of students belong to the weaker sections like OBC, SC & ST. A satisfactory percentage of girls students i.e. around 50% is well in tune with the slogan “BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO”.
The College administration is committed to improving in every aspect of education with the active efforts of faculty members and supporting staff. Apart from educational activities the College administration is stepping forward to develop further such as infrastructural development, digitalization of libraries with the provision of modern equipment, smart classes, providing the latest equipment to the laboratories, etc. Our NSS unit is very active and has shown its presence on different platforms by organizing plantation drives, yoga divas, etc.
To provide quality higher education to the forthcoming generation in the semi-urban society, to impart human values, and to orient students in being responsible, secular and democratic citizens of a healthy nation and a harmonious world
- To create and promote cultural, ecological and environmental awareness among the students.
- To sustain a teaching-learning environment adding favourably to the general pursuit of higher education and learning relevant skills and crafts.
- To kindle among students and teachers a sense to uphold self-discipline and do selfless service to the mass in general.
- To provide the best possible opportunity for faculty members to update their knowledge in teaching and research in their disciplines.
- To stimulate students in their active participation in socio-economic front including gender-sensitization and fundamental human rights consciousness through the outlet of co-curricular activities etc.
- To create a sound academic campus of learning of repute through action and interaction.
